Horner's syndrome
loss of sympathetic innervation in the head, will cause ptosis, or a drooping eyelid, along with a constricted pupil and a flushed, dry face on the affected side
greater superficial petrosal nerve
-taste to hard palate
-mucus secretion to maxillary sinus, nasal cavity, nasopharynx
-tear secretion into superior conjunctival fornix
deep petrosal nerve
-postsynaptic sympathetic
-innervates blood vessels and mucous glands of the head and neck

-if lesioned--> congestion and runny nose
