In eliminating answer choices, test for connotation
If you have no idea about your word other than whether it is positive or negative, look for the opposite connotation in its choices.
Change unfamiliar words from one part of speech to another
if you're unfamiliar with a word, try changing it into a noun or verb you are more familiar with using in context.
Break down unfamiliar words into recognizable parts
as much as you possibly can
Consider secondary meanings of the capitalized word
