Collage made with photographs in a way that changes their meanings.

Collage made entirely out of paper materials
Tromp l'oeil
The artist tricks the viewer into believing a depicted object is the real thing through meticulous detail.
Frottage
Rubbing crayon or graphite against an object over paper to create a surface.
Collograph
Shapes cut from some sort of material are inked and pressed against paper.
Assemblage
Form of collage that involves the incorporation of bulky 3D found items.
Collage
Piece of artwork that incorporates materials through pasting them onto a two-dimensional surface.
Specular reflection
Type of reflection that emphasizes shiny, glossy objects next to dull, rough ones.

Simplified natural textures that are stylized into a pattern.

Variety of mark making and processes evolved over time. Gets to the point that it's hard to tell how they were made.
Visual texture
Illusion of texture created by an artist.
Tactile texture
Actual physical texture that can be touched.
Texture
Tactile quality of the surface. Can be random or regular.
